Bryce Canyon, Completed!

At last! We have completed our second set of more than 500-pieces Bryce Canyon puzzle - the first was the Grand Canyon - after just 2 days of battling the pain in the eyes and patience in locating the correct pieces to their rightful place. YF's family came to visit us this weekend, and so, we had helping hands and eyes to put the pieces together :)
One missing piece, but luckily we found it hiding in the stack of old newspaper, phewPlace the FINAL piece and we get the completed set!

Dried Up and Beautiful

It had been a month past since YF receives her roses. Actually, they only lasts for about a week. She had dried them up since then. Amazingly, she transformed them from fresh-looking beautiful roses into a delicate work of art. They are still looking remarkably great. I couldn't resists taking some pictures of them just to share them here haha :) I used to think flowers are costly and they could not last long with their fresh look. Well, that is still true, just like our lifes keep changing every now and then. But, we could always choose to make the best out of the changes and they could definitely turn out to be as beautiful as before.

Close-Ups

Here I am, admiring YF's personal flower :p We got this during our trip to IKEA some time ago. It was just a small plant, mostly green leaves and a handful of violet flower. Look at it now. Gosh.. what a big change, before and after. Too bad I don't have a "before" shot to show the difference.
Oh, meet Sean's pet :p

Happy Mooncake Festival

Guys and Gals..

Happy 中秋节!
Happy Lantern Festival!
Happy Mooncake Festival!
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Have you tasted a mooncake this year? There are more and more varieties of mooncakes these days. They are getting more expensive too. One piece of mooncakes would normally costs around RM10. Lucky for me, the box of mooncakes in the photo (my favourite ice-skin 冰皮) are homemade ^_^

Footing Work Completed

As of today, the footing work for our lot has completed. This is how it looks right now. It seems like nothing much has been achieved, but coming here to see it is more difficult that it used to be. The paths or temporary roads are "congested" with lorry and forklift trucks. The other terrace houses lots have grown significantly from an empty land into solid or skeletons houses. Ours appears to be the last lot among the terrace houses yet to become a house.
The banglos are also growing like mushrooms on the crowded construction area.New structure I have never seen before. Appears to be what seems like a shophouses lotOn the way home, I noticed that there are other newly completed residence houses have crack marks on the walls. In fact, I am seeing similar conditions on past visits to other housing areas as well as heard from friends on similar issues. These are really disappointed sights and news to hear. Are the quality of work nowadays have been compromised with getting the work completed fast?

Penang International Lantern Festival

We drove all the way to Juru Autocity to see the Lantern Festival exhibits. It was the official opening ceremony and the event would last till the end of this year. The theme of the festival is "Hello Kitty & Friends" - you will know what I mean later. The crowd was just nice, there were not too many people. The exhibits are wonderful, a very colorful night indeed. I haven't been seeing such great displays for a very long time - the last I can remember was in Tokyo during the Millenia Celebration. The attraction is divided into several sections - bird santuary, water point, dinosaurs land, the wild, elephant camp, kitty lantern, penang bridge. There were also stage performances. We just simply walk and snap the night away ^_^ I personally think it's a nice place to visit and if you do plan a visit, it costs RM15/RM10 for adult/child respectively per person (buy one get one free on Mon-Thurs). Remember to bring a camera!

Back from Vacation

Hey.. look at this, looking cool in sun-glasses :p Look at her too :D We were just playing around with the 3D glasses at Motion Master theater and we are now back from our Penang-Genting Highlands-KL-Sitiawan-Alor Star vacation. We had fun of course, the weather was welcoming too. We were away from work, we were relaxing and enjoying ourselves. YF loves the thrill rides haha. I had to give up after a few rounds especially those that spins around. It's great to take a break ;) After all, it's our pre-honeymoon trip :) Nevertheless, besides having fun, we had experienced a handful of unexpected situations too. First, our car was punctured on the way down from Genting, but, we fixed it temporarily. Then, we got lost and couldn't find our car in KLCC carpark area. We were wondering if it got stolen, but we found it at last with the help of the security patrol guards. We got stuck at the KLCC auto-pay parking exit because the exit time had exceeded the parking fee paid due to the car search. Finally, we joined the KL famous after-work traffic jam but we got out of it at last after 1 to 2 hours :p Anyway, at least we learnt how to change a car tyre at the slopy hill :D

Here are some other photos during the trip at Genting Highlands and KLCC Aquaria. You probably could see familiar faces on the thrill rides :p
